Privacy and how this works

What stays on your device

Your quiz answers, your strategic lens setting, the ballot you loaded, which races you checked, and your picks and notes are stored only in your browser. Nothing is sent to or kept on a server. Answers and the lens are also kept in a browser cookie so they survive a cleared session; that cookie is set by this site and read by nothing else. “Start over” in the header clears the ballot and picks; “Reset quiz” on the quiz page clears your answers.

The address lookup

As you type an address, the partial text is sent to Photon, an open-source geocoder run by komoot on OpenStreetMap data, to suggest completions. When you submit, the address is sent once to the US Census Bureau's public geocoder to find your county and legislative districts. Both requests pass through this site's server and are not logged or stored. Only the district numbers are kept, in your browser, so the page can show them.

No accounts, no tracking, no AI at runtime

There are no accounts and no analytics. The site runs no AI when you use it. The ballot analysis and the candidate and measure dossiers were produced ahead of time by the site owner with the help of an AI research assistant, and every claim in a dossier links to the page it came from, with the date it was researched.

What this is and isn't

This is a personal voter guide, not affiliated with any campaign, party, or organization. Scores show how each choice lines up with the values you said matter, plus any strategic lens you chose. They are not endorsements or predictions. Every line on the printed sheet is your own decision. Check the official ballot for exact names and wording.

If something in a dossier is wrong or out of date, tell the site owner and it will be corrected.
